Looking for a way to style your NYE pieces into everyday looks, keep reading below for outfit details and styling tips. I didn't post any NYE looks on The Mod Little Melanin this year, but there tends to be a common belief amongst the female population that glitter, sequins, and metallic pieces are only reserved for NYE. I've been breaking that trend for years and for my first post of the new year, I'll be showing you how to do the same! My look is centered around a pair of gold metallic pants purchased from American Apparel that have been previously styled on The Mod Little Melanin. I wanted the pants to have a more relaxed vibe, in order to show the versatility of the look and make it simpler for my readers to style. I paired these pants with a low back bodysuit from Charlotte Russe, and layered a satin bomber jacket from H&M over the entire look. If wearing the look without the bomber and just with the bodysuit alone, the look becomes perfect for a causal girls night out. By adding the bomber jacket, that features embroidered tigers on either side of the jacket, the look gave off athleisure vibes and transformed dressy pants to everyday wear. If you want to wear "holiday" clothing after the holidays, follow these easy tips. Pair the holiday piece with casual pieces. Layer sequins tops with bomber jackets or a jean jacket. Or layer the sequins top over a basic t shirt and pair with jeans for a causal look. If you purchased a two piece outfit, seperate the pieces and wear separately throughout the year. Pair flashy pants with graphic tees and a tennis shoe, for the perfect athleisure look.
