It's the final day of Coachella Vibes on The Mod Little Melanin, and the first day of Coachella in Indio, California aka Coachella Valley. Here is my final look to round out my Coachella Vibes series! My base piece in this look was a white lace dress that was purchased from Charlotte Russe last year, at the end of season for only $5.00! This dress is lined with a silk slip underneath and is a loose shift dress. It's one of those pieces I forgot I purchased last year (that sounds horrible, because the tag is still on it) and am glad I came across it! While you could create a sweetheart look with this dress, we'll be going in a different direction with this dress. To spice the dress up a little, add a fringe belt around the waist to cinch it at the waist and add shape to a "shapeless" shift dress. I don't own a belt like in my polyvore set (that I used for outfit planning), but instead added a long black fringe belt that has been featured before on The Mod Little Melanin. Complete the look with black leather ankle boots. Mine are from Charming Charlie's and were only $10.00. Next, add an oversized fedora hat, the one shown in the picture is from Forever 21. I'm really loving silver antique style jewelry at the moment, and have come across several brand new pieces in my jewerly collection that blended perfect with this outfit. All jewelry pieces feature a turquoise stone. Include a fringe purse, avaliable at most stores, I've even spotted some at Walmart on clearance if you're looking to ball on a budget. I don't really wear eye makeup, foundation, concealer or any of that stuff, but I've decided to include makeup that I would wear with this outfit. If you're attending Coachella, it's going to be 90+ degrees all weekend, so you probably don't want to wear a full face of makeup unless you don't mind clogging your pores and risking blemishes. Instead, I would opt for a dark lip, deep burgendy. The color I frequently wear is Bordeaux by Rimmel London. I would add a volume mascera, I love Scandaleyes Mascera by Rimmel London. I haven't done anything to my eyebrows in over a year 😲 to let them grow out back to the thick brows I hated (but now love) as a child. I usually don't do anything to my brows, but when they get super messy and unruly I lightly tame them with Vaseline and a brown brow pencil to hide the flyaways. DO NOT FILL IN YOUR BROWS, DO NOT OUTLINE YOUR BROWS, just simply use the brown pencil to hide the pieces that need to be plucked or shaped into your brow. I had a bad brow experience last Spring that left me with twig thin brows, and refuse to ever allow anyone else other than myself to tame my brows. Just say no to waxing and threading. Here's my completed Coachella look! Here's a look at my Polyvore style set that I used to plan out my Coachella look! I highly recommend downloading the Polyvore app for outfit planning! Happy Festival Season to my Mod Little Melanin readers, may the outfit you choose to rock to this summer's festivals forever be in your favor. ✌
