I styled a similar look on The Mod Little Melanin last year for my Valentine's Day look, but since I didn't have nearly as large a following last year this look is new to most! Continue reading below to learn how to incorporate faux fur into your dailywear, and not just your nightlife wear! The key to successfully wearing fur in the daytime is incorporating a look that is casual yet appealing. I say appealing because causal to most is leggings or sweatpants. However, causalwear to me is something that is dressed down, such as a bomber jacket paired with a pair of tennis shoes. To make the look appealing, my spin on casualwear included adding a pair of highwaisted black jeans and pairing the jeans with a black and white cropped sweater. Both are from H&M. Being the bargain hunter I am, I found these jeans on clearance at H&M for $1.00 and the sweater on sale for $5.00. Add accessories to your look to accentuate the outfit. I opted to wear a rhinestone choker from Forever 21 to jazz the look up before adding the faux fur jacket. I am also wearing a pair of rhinestone earrings from JcPenny. My faux fur jacket is a Christmas gift from last season's winter collection at Forever 21. If you are currently looking to add faux fur or real fur to your wardrobe, now is the time to shop. Most items are being marked down now, as stores prepare to bring in their items for the Spring season. I completed the look by adding a pair of boots from Rue 21 that are currently marked down again for $15.00. Faux fur is incredibly versatile, something I will be showing on The Mod Little Melanin all winter. Remember the key to successfully wearing faux fur in the daytime is to keep your look simple and causal, yet appealing underneath. Incorporate colors from the jacket in your look, and add accessories to accentuate your look. Stay tuned all week long on The Mod Little Melanin for more tips on styling faux fur with your wardrobe!
