Bright, colorful purses are typically reserved for the Spring and Summer. In today's post, however, I will be showing you how to incorporate color into your wardrobe through your handbag. Fall colors tend to be drab and boring, with warmer tones tending to be the norm for Autumn and Winter. Most tend to avoid the brighter tones, but you absolutely can incorporate shades of pink, orange, etc into your end of the year wardrobe in a tasteful fashion. For this look, I started with a Canadian Tuxedo as my base layer. Essentially, a Canadian Tuxedo is any outfit that is denim on denim. My denim shirt is from a few seasons back from H&M, while my culottes are from Wetseal.com. To add warmth to this look, as it is actually beginning to feel like Autumn in other parts of the country, I layered on a poncho from Shophopes.com, that incorporated various colors into the look. My boots are from last season's shoes at Target. My purse is also from Shophopes.com, and is still available on their website in the sale folder for $11.00. When I originally purchased this purse, I expected it to be a bright shade of poppy red, as it looks in the online picture. However, upon recieving this purse, I discovered it was actually an orange purse, and was slightly disappointed, as I knew that this purse would not get carried much until the Spring. To solve my style issue, I did several outfit layouts to see how I could best style this purse to carry it now, rather than later, and this layout was my favorite looks! I felt the coral meshed well with the navy boots and gave the outfit just the proper amount of color without being too overpowering for the look. If you're ever in doubt about how to style an outfit, I suggest laying it out from head to toe, including accessories and shoes. I do this every night, and it makes getting dressed for the next day so much easier!
