The temperature is dropping and so are all new Autumn looks on The Mod Little Melanin! Continue reading below for a look that is sure to keep you stylish on a chilly day! The key to successfully styling an Autumn look in the South is layers! If you reside below the Mason Dixon, you're well aware that the temperature can start below 50 degrees in the morning, and creep up into the mid-70s by afternoon. Layering your Autumn look helps to keep you warm in the morning, and cool in the afternoon. The focal point of this look was my plaid, school girl skirt I purchased from Old Navy for only 0.98 cents a few seasons ago. This skirt easily transitions from one season to the next with a few minor adjustments. For this look, I paired the skirt with a button-down chambray shirt, from H&M and layered a "fur-like" vest over the entire outfit for warmth. I scored this faux fur vest at Forever 21 during their most recent BOGO sale. To complete the look, I added a pair of light denim lace up boots from Shophopes.com that have become a staple in my wardrobe when transitioning between seasons. My lipstick is a Kylie Kosmetics dupe of Posie K that I discovered at my local beauty supply store for only $1.99. I'll be posting a full makeup dupe haul in the comimg weeks documenting this particular dupe. My hoop earrings are another beauty supply store find, and were only $0.99! Don't sleep on the beauty supply store for all your makeup and accessory needs! - Chelsea Nicole, The Mod Little Melanin
