![]() People always ask me what mascara I use. Too Faced BTS? Covergirl Lash Blast? Maybelline? None of the above? Here's my best beauty secret yet, the mascara I use only cost $1.00! I discovered Miss A Cosmetics about a year and a half ago after watching a video from one of my favorite Youtubers, Raven Elyse. In one of her videos she shared a new website she had discovered that sold amazing lashes, matte lipstick and makeup all for $1.00! It sounded too good to be true, so I had to try it out for myself, and quickly fell in love. Over the past year, Miss A Cosmetics has expanded their beauty line to include foundation (in a variety of skin tone friendly shades), lipsticks, eyelashes, and even beauty tools. My go-to mascara over the past year has been Miss A's Fat Lash Mascara, that can be used alone or with a primer that is also sold by Miss A Cosmetics. Miss A's Fat Lash Mascara gives me perfect, clump free lashes with each use, and has become a part of my daily beauty routine. In fact, every product I use in my daily routine is from Miss A Cosmetics! I'll be sharing more of my favorite beauty products from Miss A Cosmetics and other makeup companies as a part of my beauty series on both my Instagram account, and my You Tube channel that will be launching soon! I've finally found time to blog during my hectic first month of podiatry school! I have so many looks, blogs, videos, articles, and products to share with you all! My first look is from my first day of podiatry school, and is a continuation of my Where does The Mod Little Melanin shop series! This gorgeous jumpsuit is from Olive Ave Boutique, located in Rexburg and Idaho Falls, Idaho. What I love most about their clothing is that they are size inclusive, which unfortunately is rare for a popular boutique these days. They also offer a variety of nursing friendly options on their website and in store. The jumpsuit I am wearing is actually a nursing friendly option with working buttons if you are looking for something cute and functional! If you've been a reader of The Mod Little Melanin for the past few years, then you know that jumpsuits are my go-to piece to wear when I am unsure of what to wear. In fact this summer, jumpsuits have been heavily in rotation in my wardrobe with me being so busy! I love to layer jumpsuits with cute cardigans, or kimonos to transition them into early autumn, as well. I chose to keep my styling of the Jordie Jumpsuit in Marigold to a minimum, so that the jumpsuit could remain the focal point of the entire look. Instead, I opted to only wear large, gold button earrings and a pair of white, bow sandals that have also been heavily in rotation in my wardrobe. I absolutely adore how the jumpsuit is styled on the website, which is another great thing about Olive Ave's website! If you are unsure of how to style something, Olive Ave's pictures offer the perfect guidance to look your best. To transition this look into early September, add a tan or light brown floppy hat, and a pair of brown or white ankle boots. If you live in a mild climate, Olive Ave has a variety of sandal options available for purchase. L
Looking to purchase the Jordie Jumpsuit right away? You're in luck! The jumpsuit is currently on sale for $35.00, and the entire website, Oliveave.com (excluding clearance) is an additional 20% off with code "LABORDAY20" this weekend! Happy shopping! - Chelsea Nicole, The Mod Little Melanin |
