As you continue to transition your wardrobe to Spring, here's an athleisure inspired look that is sure to draw attention from others! The key to pulling off this athleisure look is finding key pieces that look sporty, but still are fashionable enough to incorporate into a tasteful outfit. If you're looking for athleisure pieces, I recommend starting your search as Missguided.com. Missguided.com is where I came across this knit, pink skirt that features "ties" on either side of the skirt that can be laced up to create a ruching effect. Underneath the skirt, I layered a simple black bodysuit from Charlotte Russe that was purchased for $3.99. (I may shop a lot but normally everything I purchase is dirt cheap.) What I love most about this bodysuit is the quirky "Girl Boss" saying that is stitched on the left side of the bodysuit. To pull together the entire athleisure look, I added a longline, rose gold bomber jacket found on sale at Forever 21 earlier this year. I originally featured this jacket in my coat haul that I featured on my personal snapchat back in February. By adding different pieces in varying shades of pink, I am able to create a cohesive, sporty look that looks effortless to pull off, and is simple to recreate. I finished off the look by adding a pink, velvet choker, and tennis shoes (not shown).
I'll be adding more photos to this post, so check back on Wednesday! - Chelsea Nicole, The Mod Little Melanin 💋
