Dress Like A Celeb: Draya Michele

I'm bringing a new concept to The Mod Little Melanin! We all want to dress like the rich and famous, right? Dress Like a Celeb will show Mod Little Melanin followers where they can find affordable style dupes of the looks their favorite celebs wear!

If I could be best friends with any celebrity in the world it would have Draya of popular VH1 show Basketball Wives LA. Though, she was formally a cast member of Basketball Wives LA, she has never been connected to an NBA Player, and rather is the fiancée of Dallas Cowboys player Orlando Scandrick. Already a mother of one, Draya and Orlando welcomed child Jru (pronounced Drew) in April. When Draya first posted the outfit above on Instagram, I fell in love with it! While I'm sure Draya is wearing high end pieces, I was able to locate several style dupes so you could recreate this look on your budget! Sailor button shorts/pants are super popular this year, and it is no surprise that Draya sported these shorts. I was able to find an affordable pair at Forever21.com for only $19.90. The shorts are slightly high waisted, with a rolled cuff.

While Draya isn't wearing a crop top, I tried my best to find a top with a high neckline like Draya's shirt. This Knotted Hem Crop Top in White is super affordable and is only $7.90 at Forever21.com. What I love most about the top is the knotted look. While I realize you can do this with any old tank top, it simply looks better when the top is made to be that way.

I was unable to find a plaid printed vest like Draya's, but did come across a Longline Plaid Coat that is the perfect transition purse for this odd Spring weather, it is available for only $15.90 at Forever21.com.

To accesorize like Draya, I found a pair of heels from missguided.com. The Laser Cut Heeled Ankle Boots from missguided.com are everything. They feature a stiletto heel and a laser cut caged design, and are similar to the pair worn by Draya.

Add sunnies like Draya's from Forever21.com for only $7.90 and a fedora hat from Forever21.com for only $19.90.
