Mini dresses and mini skirts are the perfect "mod" style to incorporate into your wardrobe this Autumn with tights, or thigh high socks and a pair of boots. I purchased this mini, sleeveless jean dress from Old Navy for less than $2.00. Most Old Navy's accept online orders returned to the store will tend to mark down an online order to 90% as it is typically a one of a kind item in the store, and must be moved off the floor as quick as possible. Underneath my jean dress, I layered a warm grey sweatshirt I also found on sale at one of my favorite stores, H&M. What I love most about this mini dress, is the versatility. You can wear this dress alone in the middle of Summer, with a frilly, floral shirt in Spring, or with a sweatshirt/turtleneck in Autumn or Winter, and a pair of tights!
To complete the look, I added a pair of pearl earrings, and lace up denim boots purchased from Shophopes.com! - Chelsea Nicole, The Mod Little Melanin

Khaki green is one of my favorite colors to wear in the Autumn/Winter months, so when I can apply a double dose of khaki green to my look, I go for it! \n \nBelieve it or not, my top is actually a shirt dress from Burlington Coat Factory that I conveniently tucked into my skirt as a top. It features a high-low silhouette, and has a button-down front. What I liked most about pairing this dress with my khaki green mini skirt, is that the dress peeks out a bit from underneath the skirt. Layering your pieces is a great way to create a variety of looks, and stretch your wardrobe, especially if you are on a tight budget like me! My mini skirt is a clearance find from Misguided.com, and was on sale for $8.00 last summer with free shipping. Missguided is still a hidden gem that many have yet to discover, and is my go-to store for online purchases that others will not yet have. After all, "fast fashion" is always one step ahead across the pond!
I completed the look with a pair of tan, lace up creeper-style shoes from Ego Shoes and button earrings. - Chelsea Nicole, The Mod Little Melanin I opted to style my burgundy, bodycon dress for this look in a comfy, yet casual manner. Simply add a plaid, button down top to your dress, and tie it slightly above your waist. My button down is actually a shirt dress from Forever 21. It features a graphic print on the back that states "I've got the passion for fashion." To dress up the look, I added a pair of lace-up boots to my outfit. These boots are a staple in my winter wardrobe, and were purchased at the end-of-season from Charlotte Russe for $15.00! They're super comfy and can be styled in a variety of ways.
