Do you feel comfortable in your skin? I’m talking really comfortable in your skin? And no, I’m not taking about not wearing make up, nor is this a wear your natural hair only post. This is a post about loving who you truly are and how God made you. Social media can skew the perception of what society thinks is “beautiful.” It used to be that slim bodies were considered to be the beauty standard, women felt pressured to lose weight in order to feel attractive. Now it seems that BBL, liposuction, and other plastic surgeries have become the norm. The way society views beauty changes the we as women think we should “look.” So before you decide to start your next diet, think you need to change your hair, or decide on elective plastic surgery, I want to remind you that YOU are beautiful. You are beautiful just the way you are. You are perfect just the way you are. You do not need to change anything about you to be more beautiful. You do not need to lose weight. You do not need to gain weight. You do not need to straighten your hair to be more beautiful. You are everything and so much more just the way you are. It’s sundress season! Okay, so this sundress season is nothing like we could have ever predicted. We can’t leave the house. There are no trips, no brunches, and definitely no long walks on the beach. So instead, I’m finding a few other ways to squeeze in a sundress here and there for my blog, because let’s face it, summer isn’t complete without a sun dress! Today’s sundress is from reddress.com! Red Dress based in Athens, GA! They release new arrivals twice a day, and feature clothing that is just my style. Majority of my sundresses are from Red Dress, with many of them purchased during January’s end of season sale. This gorgeous multicolored striped dress features an off-the-shoulder neckline, and a V-cut in the skirt, creating flow in the skirt as you walk. I decided to pair my dress with a pair of sandals from shophopes.com! Because of the off-the-shoulder neckline, I opted to pair a simple gold chain necklace with the dress and small gold hoops.
